Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed the bill on September 28th, which could help Republicans win additional US seats in the 2026 medium-term elections based on a map of Congressional rezoning.
The bill, sponsored by Republicans, Rep. Dark Deaton and Sen. Rusty Black, sets provisions to rezone the Capitol. The state’s fifth legislative district will be divided into three districts under the new map.
