The industry program at France’s Les Arcs Film Festival has selected eight up-and-coming international directors for its Talent Village initiative, to be held from December 12 to 16, and named Spanish director Oliver Lux as its 2025 ambassador.

The directors, all of whom have produced short films that have been screened at major film festivals, are Irish filmmaker Ruairi Bradley, Britain’s Chloe Calpin, Lithuania’s Dovidas Draxas, Spanish director duo Fran Moreno Blanco and Santi Puyol Amat, Romania’s Zandra Popescu, France’s Hélio Pou and Xin Wang, and Austria’s Reza Rasoulli.

The Talent Village consists of five days of workshops, one-on-one meetings, and mentorship sessions designed to help filmmakers transition from short to feature projects and interact with industry professionals before joining the co-production village market.

In recent years, it has become an important incubator for emerging European filmmakers making the leap to feature films.
