On a three-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Bills chose Terrell Bernard from Baylor. The 25-year-old has played in 46 career games for Buffalo and has 31 starts. His best season so far was in 2023, when he started playing all 17 Buffalo games in the regular season. Bernard recorded a career-high 143 tackles, 84 solo tackles, 10 tackles, six and a half sacks, three interceptions, five passes and three fumble recovery.
In 13 games of the 2024 bill, Bernard finished with 104 paired tackles, 55 solo tackles, five losses of tackle, two intercepts and three passes. He played in all three postseason games for Buffalo last season. Bernard is a key starter in Sean McDermott’s defense. He wears a green dot on his helmet. This means he will receive a play call from his head coach.
Terrell Bernard will join Khalil Shaquille as two Buffalo players who expanded this offseason. He received a four-year, $50 million extension from the bill. Shaquille has a career-high 76 catches with 821 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His reception and reception yard led Buffalo in 2024. Both Halil Shakir and Terel Bernard deserved a long extension with Buffalo.
