Zadarma, the European cloud communications leader, has announced the acquisition of Megacall, a VoIP provider based in Malaga. This move marks Zadaruma’s second major acquisition following its acquisition of US company VoIPVoIP in 2024.

Founded in 2006, Zadarma operates across Europe with offices in Bulgaria, the UK, Poland and Spain, and operates six data centers across three continents. This acquisition strengthens the company’s presence in Europe and enhances its service offering for corporate customers.

New tools and integrations for Megacall clients

Zadarma confirmed that Megacall customers will have a smooth transition and maintain their existing services while gaining access to a new suite of features including:

  • AI-powered voice analytics and advanced call insights
  • Virtual phone numbers in over 110 countries
  • Cloud PBX system for business communication
  • Built-in CRM tools with call tracking and reporting
  • Extensive API integration with popular systems such as RetellAI, Vapi, Zoho, HubSpot, Eleven Labs, Clientify, etc.
  • 24/7 multilingual support by phone or live chat

The merger brings together Megacall’s bespoke turnkey solutions and Zadarma’s flexible self-service model, increasing the adaptability of communication setups for both small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises.

Careful transition for Spanish clients

Zadarma said the transition was managed to ensure there was no disruption to service for Megacall customers. Users are gradually upgrading to the new system and benefiting from increased reliability, a user-friendly interface, and AI integration designed to optimize operations.

Megacall was founded in 2008 by Phoenix Solutions SLU and has built a strong reputation in Spain for its community partnerships, including work with Aldeas Infantiles, Spanish Samaritans, and the Jose Carreras Foundation Against Leukemia.

For Spanish locals and expatriates running their own companies, the merger means expanded connectivity options and access to cutting-edge AI communication tools that were previously limited to large companies. It will also strengthen Spain’s role as a technology and business hub in the European VoIP and cloud communications sector.
