Bajaj has long been working towards launching the world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle, aiming to meet the needs of cost-conscious customers in the face of rising fuel prices.
While details about the fresh model remain under wraps, the bike has been spotted testing several times over the past few months. The test mule, resembling a typical commuter bike, equipped with halogen indicators, telescopic forks and a monoshock for suspension duties. It also boasts multi-spoke alloy wheels, a long one-piece seat and a combination of disc and drum brakes, suggesting it is aimed at the budget entry-level member. There is no word on what engine this bike will utilize. Bajaj may modify the existing petrol engine or develop a fresh CNG-ready powertrain.

In addition to the “Fighter” trademark, Bajaj also recently filed applications for names such as Glider, Marathon, Trekker and Freedom, filed between January 29 and February 9. It is also possible that the upcoming model will have one of these names.
