WASHINGTON – House speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Republican leaders are in a hurry to turn it over as President Donald Trump’s one big beautiful bill act stands on the unstable ground of his home.
As of midnight on July 3rd, votes to advance the procedural action known as the rules vote were open for more than two hours, between 207 and 217 votes. Five Republicans joined all Democrats and voted against moving forward on the bill.
