President Donald Trump has directed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to step up efforts to ensure that prescription drug advertisements directed towards consumers are transparent and accurate.
This includes requiring drug manufacturers to provide more information about drug use risks and to strengthen enforcement of federal laws that regulate these advertisements.
