The president had promised on the campaign trajectory to remove agents and bring education back to the nation.
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order on March 20th to promote the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education.
The order, which has been in preparation for weeks, will sign a White House event with Republican governors and several Republican governors present and state education committee members, as confirmed by the White House. The plan was first reported by USA Today.
Trump will instruct recently confirmed Education Secretary Linda McMahon to take all necessary steps to transfer that authority to the state in preparation for the closure of the education sector, according to a fact sheet obtained by the Epoch Times.
According to the fact sheet, the order also aims to ensure that throughout the process there is no disruption in the provision of services, programs and benefits that Americans rely on.
“The order also directs that programs or activities that receive remaining Department of Education funds will not advance DEI or gender ideology,” the fact sheet states.
The Ministry of Education did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
She said, “Our job is to respect the will of the Americans and the President they have chosen. They have left us to achieve bureaucratic bloat here at the Department of Education (important and responsible for the Department of Education).”
The Ministry of Education recently hired about 4,200 workers and acquired 600 more people before the closing of about 1,300.
The current form of this institution comes from the Act of 1979 and is independent by splitting it from the Department of Health, Education and Human Services.
“Federal government administration of education has failed for students, parents and teachers,” the White House fact sheet states.
“Since its relatively recent inception in 1979, the Department of Education, which has not directly educated students, has spent more than $3 trillion without improving student achievement, as measured by a standardized national assessment of the Educational Progress (NAEP) score.”
Trump has pledged a campaign trajectory to abolish the Department of Education, claiming he is responsible for indoctrinating American youth.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
