President Donald Trump said Sunday that he would block Washington commander’s stadium contract unless the National Football League (NFL) team returns to his previous name, the Washington Redskins.
The team dropped the “Redskins” name in 2020 after criticising it as an offensive to Native Americans in 2020, rebranded it as a Washington football team and later recruited Washington’s manager in 2022.
