President Donald Trump has asked Congress to approve provisions of his health care affordability plan that aims to lower prices through market reforms, including price negotiations, increased competition, and greater price transparency.
President Trump’s Great American Health Plan includes measures that his administration has already introduced or is working on. This provision would be expected to carry greater weight and be more likely to survive through future administrations if codified into federal law, rather than enforced through an executive order or federal regulation.
