The Federal Trade Commission has launched an investigation into artificial intelligence products that serve as companions. It also took measures taken by businesses to limit the potential negative effects of bots on children and teens.
“As AI Technologies evolve, it is important to consider the impact that chatbots have on children and ensure that the US remains a global leader in this new and exciting industry,” FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson said in a September 11 press release.
