Sharan Hegde, entrepreneur and founder of The 1% Club, who also runs, among others, Youtube a channel called “financewithsharan” claims that his YouTube account was hacked through his personal Instagram account.
In his Instagram post, he mentioned that his account was compromised and the hackers started live streaming Bitcoin prices on his YouTube channel. Hegde claimed that a live broadcast on his YouTube channel showed that Bitcoin prices had reached 100,000. dollars, which translates to approximately 69,448.00 Indian rupees
Hegde mentioned that as part of the negotiations, the entire content of the YouTube channel was washed away, but was later recovered.
His post reads: “The hacker took control of the account and started live broadcasting Bitcoin prices reaching 100,000. dollars – without my consent, of course. Within minutes, I received hundreds of DMs from you informing me of this fact. Thank you very much for the warning, but unfortunately the channel was closed and I didn’t know what to do. My 3 years of demanding work just disappeared before my eyes.
