Siddharth Anand is collaborating with Saif Ali Khan for a recent film. The renowned director and producer posted a photo with the actor with the caption: “I’m back on set with my first hero! How nothing can change!” This nostalgic photo from the meeting put an end to speculations and confirmed that the duo is working together again after 17 years.
Siddharth Anand on Instagram announced that the title of the film is: The Jewel Thief – Red Sun Chapter.
The film, considered to be a heist drama, is produced by Siddharth Anand under his banner, Marflix Pictures, with producer Mamta Anand and directed by Robbie Grewal. The talented Jaideep Ahlawat will also play a key role in the project.
The plot will reportedly revolve around a gripping battle between the characters of Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. Currently, the cast and crew including Siddharth Anand, Mamta Anand, Saif Ali Khan and Robbie Grewal are busy shooting in Budapest.
This project marks Robbie Grewal’s first collaboration with Saif Ali Khan, although Saif and Siddharth have previously worked together in two films: Salaam Namaste AND Pum with rum Ta Ra. The Jewel Thief – Red Sun Chapter is intended to be a direct-to-digital release.
