However, one thing is certain about the Celine Song-directed project: Johnson’s character has a wardrobe full of enviable, lofty basics. Since filming began in behind schedule April, behind-the-scenes paparazzi shots have captured Johnson in a number of classic ensembles, including wide-leg jeans and a crop top, a quilted jacket paired with white pants, and the occasional work-ready skirt set. And most recently, while filming scenes in Up-to-date York City on May 28, Johnson styled another ultra-chic street style moment with a timeless trench coat and sneakers.
Instead of resting after the holiday weekend, Johnson went straight back to work on Tuesday morning. Her character’s latest OOTD outfit didn’t stray too far from Johnson’s signature aesthetic – she wore an elongated khaki trench coat that fell just below her knees. The fashion muse primarily kept her top closed and tied, but from time to time the rest of her look peeked out from underneath. Johnson wore a gray long-sleeved sweater and navy blue pants – a surprising departure from her character’s penchant for statement jeans. The casual vibe of the outfit also carried over to her footwear: black Nike Daybreak sneakers with white accents and a rubber sole. Although she surprisingly skipped any purse (her favorite Bottega Veneta Tiny Hop bag was nowhere to be found), Johnson opted for a blue Polo Ralph Lauren baseball cap and tiny silver hoop earrings to complete her must-have ensemble.
