If you didn’t realize Fiat 500e from 2024 is already arriving at dealers here in the United States, with all the former are painted glowing red. Brand maintenance plans to release special editions such as shoe dropsthe brand “released” a recent special edition. The newest 500e is called Fiat 500e Inspired By Los Angeles and is… gray?
You’re probably wondering how a compact Italian electric car could be inspired by Los Angeles while having a rather tedious color – isn’t Los Angeles celebrated for its clear beaches and palm trees? The recent color of the 500e is called Marine Layer Mist and is inspired by a different type of weather effect that Southern California is also known for.
To dig deeper into meteorology, the marine layer forms when a nippy air mass over the ocean forms and collides with heated air over land. The result is low temperatures and gray skies that sometimes manifest as fog, which usually burns off by early afternoon. Fiat created a color with a silvery blue tint that blends nicely with the sky.
Other unique features exclusive to the Inspired By Los Angeles model include black window moldings, matte gray mirror caps, body-color dashboard, seven-speaker JBL audio system and 17-inch diamond-cut wheels with summer or all-season tires. This is all in addition to a range of driver assistance technologies. Like other 500e models, it has a 42 kWh battery that allows a range of 230 km.
None of this is low-cost. Pricing for the Fiat 500e Inspired By Los Angeles, including destination charges, will start at $37,595. If you’re willing to pay that much extra for an electric city car, Fiat says it will be available to order from dealers this month and will then go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
