Fashion and film are two art forms that go hand in hand, just like Diane Keaton and menswear. Or, if you prefer, like Audrey Hepburn and little black dresses. That said, for a brand as iconic as Chanel, it only makes sense to support emerging filmmakers – and that’s exactly what they’re doing with their partnership with Tribeca Film. In 2015, they co-founded Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program to support fund emerging women and non-binary talent in the industry. Nine years later, she still brings together a passionate (and very chic) group of established and emerging women.
This year, the annual event took place at Fresh York hotspot Locanda Verde, and the list of great guests included Christy Turlington, Joey King, Kerry Washington and many more. And although lunch is not a completely formal affair, anything co-hosted by Chanel is an opportunity to dress up. Here, many of the stars’ looks featured the house’s signature elements, such as black and white palettes, tweed jackets and quilted pieces. But even those that opted for a more laid-back look, like wide-legged jeans and white tees, still felt super stylish.
