Tee Higgins was tagged with a franchise, but there is still time to close the long-term deal. One player who will not be re-signed by the Bengals is Derei Hendrickson. ESPN Adam Schefter has announced that the Bengals have allowed Henrickson to seek trade this offseason.

In his final four seasons, Trey Hendrickson was a member of the Bengals. He was a three-round pick by the saint from the Florida Atlantic in 2017. After his first four seasons in New Orleans, Henrickson signed a four-year, $60 million contract with the Bengals. From 2021 to 2024, Hendrickson was a professional bowler for four consecutive seasons. In 2023 and 2024, Hendrickson recorded the Bengali bag (17.5).
His (35.0) bags over the last two seasons are rare among any player of the time. The 2024 Hendrickson (17.5) bag led the NFL. For the first time in his career, Henrickson received the first team All-Pro honours. Despite his career-best season, Henrickson is permitted to seek trade this offseason.
The NFL Insider believes the Bengals were nervous about paying Henrickson after Max Crosby’s contract extension with the Raiders. The 2025 season will be Hendrickson’s ninth season in the NFL.
