The 2025 Cadillac XT4 early order guide shows a now-familiar change coming to the luxury brand’s entry-level crossover: the entry-level front-wheel-drive luxury trim has been removed from the equipment list. Right now, the base 2024 XT4 is priced at $39,090 after a $1,195 destination charge. The next trim level is the Premium Luxury FWD, which starts at $42,690, a difference of $3,600. What we’re used to seeing in situations like this is for the fresh base model to augment in value by at least that difference, and often by more, as fresh features are added with the fresh model year. The bad news is that the starting price of the 2025 XT4 is higher than it was in 2024. The good news is that the difference is smaller than expected.
Direct cars he saw prices of the upcoming crossover. The fresh suggested retail prices and differences from 2024 are:
- Premium luxury: $41,990 ($700 less)
- Sport: $42,790 ($400 less)
Instead of leaving a $3,600 difference between the 2024 XT4 Luxury and the XT4 Premium Luxury, Cadillac lowered the price of the 2025 XT4 Premium Luxury. Therefore, the actual difference between base prices is $2,900. Based on these prices, Cadillac hasn’t raised its destination fee either. The shipping fee adds $1,195 to the XT4’s MSRP, while almost every other Cadillac model, including the CT4 sedan, costs $1,395. Don’t be surprised if the XT4 price target increases soon.
The lower MSRP for the 2025 XT4 is due to Cadillac adding more features to the lineup. The Energetic Safety Package comes standard and is no longer an $1,825 option. This package includes technologies such as adaptive cruise control, enhanced lane keeping assist, speed limit assist, panoramic cameras and reverse automatic braking.
Cadillac raised the price by $1,600 for 2024 with a facelift that made the XT4 nicer inside and added a 33-inch touchscreen. Even taking that into account, a shakeup seems like the best thing for the crossover. As we wrote after the facelift, it’s strenuous to recommend the base Luxury version, as buyers couldn’t facilitate but feel like they’d just climbed into a Cadillac CUV; the base 2024 model cannot be ordered with the Energetic Safety Package, the $1,650 Technology Package, or the $850 Comfort and Convenience Package.
The last 2024 XT4s are expected to roll off the line in overdue May, with production of the 2025 XT4 expected to begin next week.
