Simply hits to hold ON coming with Tesla Cybertruck. Yet another owner reported problems after driving just a few miles after picking up the brand up-to-date low resolution electric pickup truck.
I picked up my beast today in Pensacola. On the way back home to Destin, Florida, I drove to the Superchargers about 35 miles away in Crestview. While recharging, coolant began leaking from the back of the truck. Tesla service was called. First they told me the warranty did not cover coolant leaks. After a few choice words, they said they would send a tow truck.
Telling the owner of a up-to-date vehicle that he just picked up leaking coolant that the problem is not covered by warranty is something completely different. This is even crazier because the warranty period has already passed; it’s a brand up-to-date truck. Delving into Cybertruck warranty, you’ll find that even with the vehicle’s basic constrained warranty period of four years/50,000 miles, this should be included. Could they have hit something on the highway that caused the coolant to leak? Maybe. However, this is questionable considering they found – and provided visual evidence – that the coolant leak only started while the truck was loading.
With Cybertrucks’ ongoing issues and Tesla’s “five-star” customer service, more and more owners may have to turn to the internet for lend a hand.
