Through 3 games in 2025, the coach has 3 wins and 3 losses. Washington is looking to bounce back from a 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Earlier this year, the commanders suffered casualties on the offensive side.
Quarterback Jaden Daniels missed two consecutive games with a knee injury, but returned in Week 5. Commanders’ Pro Bowl WR Terry McLaurin is suffering from a quadriceps injury. He missed three consecutive games in Washington. Despite returning to practice this week, head coach Dan Quinn ruled out Terry McLaurin for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. This is the fourth consecutive game he has missed due to injury.

Wide receiver Terry McLaurin has not played for the Commanders since Week 3. The former third-round pick missed his third straight game in Washington. In Week 3’s blowout win against the Raiders, Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin injured his quadriceps. Unfortunately, McLoughlin took a long time to recover. On Friday, head coach Dan Quinn ruled out having Terry McLaurin out for Week 7 in a statement to the media.
He last played on September 21st against Las Vegas. It’s been almost a full month since McCluarin last suited up in Washington. After an incredibly productive 2024 season, Terry McLoughlin is a disappointment to his managers. Last season, he had 82 catches for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns. So far this year, he has missed more than half of the team’s games.

Terry McLaurin played for the Commanders from Weeks 1 to 3. He had 10 catches on 17 targets for 149 yards. There was a contract dispute between Terry McLaurin and Washington this offseason. The star WR wanted to be paid a price that managers were unwilling to offer. Finally, in late August, McLaurin signed a three-year contract extension worth $96 million. Since signing that contract, Terry McLaurin has appeared in three of the team’s seven games.
In addition to Terry McLaurin being out in Week 7, Washington could also be without the services of WR Deebo Samuel. He has been plagued by a heel injury, but has played in all six games for the Commanders. Samuel led the team with 34 catches for 315 yards. If the team’s two top WRs are out, Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore and rookie Jaylin Lane will be expected to increase production. McLaurin has already been ruled out, and the team is expected to provide an update on Samuel ahead of Sunday.
