Belagavi: BG Moger, director, Government Tooling and Training Center (GTTC), Belagavi, said that apart from three technical courses conducted by the institution which are in high demand, GTTC has launched a up-to-date diploma course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML ) for this academic year in Belagavi. Talking to the media at Vartha Bhavan on Wednesday, Moger said, “It is a matter of pride that GTTC is the first institute in North Karnataka to conduct a diploma course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The recruitment process for individual diploma fields for the academic year 2024-25 has begun at OWU.” Currently, GTTC centers in Belagavi district have Diplomas in Tool and Die Manufacturing, Diplomas in Precision Manufacturing, Diplomas in Automation and Robotics courses for those who have passed the SSC or equivalent examination. The Belagavi center in North Karnataka has introduced a diploma course in artificial intelligence and machine learning for the first time. These are four-year courses. Those who have passed PU in a science major can directly access the second year of the diploma through lateral entry. Scholarships are also available to students studying at the center based on their income. There are 60 places available in diploma studies in tool and die construction, diploma studies in automation and robotics, and diploma studies in artificial intelligence and machine learning courses, as well as 30 places available in diploma studies in precision production. “In addition to long-term courses, we have introduced short-term and skills development training. In 2023-2024, around 650 BE graduates and diploma students from eight engineering colleges in Belagavi have completed their training at the institute where they are trained in high-tech laboratories. Most of our students found jobs in reputable companies. Many companies come to the institute and select students through campus recruitment,” Moger said.
