And so the Eras Tour returns. After a two-month hiatus that Taylor Swift spent traveling with Travis Kelce and promoting her novel album, Department of Tortured Poets — The Grammy Award winner kicked off the European leg of her world tour on May 9 at La Défense Arena in Paris. Unsurprisingly, Swift’s gigantic return to the stage brought quite a few changes, including an updated track list, recreated set pieces, and an assortment of novel outfit changes — most notably a custom Vivienne Westwood midi dress that Swifties can’t get enough of.
As of Thursday evening, the performance was the first live performance of songs from Tortured Poets Squad, Swift pulled out all the sartorial stops in honor of her latest era. Singing songs like “But Daddy I Love Him” and “Who’s Afraid Of Little Ancient Me?” Swift danced around the stage in a high-waisted white midi dress, courtesy of Vivienne Westwood. The bodice was corseted with a subtle V-neckline over a voluminous skirt. featured the repeated italicized lyric “I love you, it’s ruining my life” from her hit duet with Post Malon, “Fortnight.” Staying true to form, Swift opted for custom Christian Louboutin lace-up ankle boots as her performance-ready footwear. her favorite footwear brand at every Eras Tour show since March 2023. The A-lister accessorized with black Vivienne Westwood Messaline shoes Orb Necklace Three-Row Choker and, of course, her signature red lip (which, if you’re curious, comes from Pat McGrath Laboratories).
If you followed #SwiftTok yesterday, you know that Vivienne Westwood’s look certainly wasn’t her only novel look of the night. The “Anti-Hero” singer debuted three additional designer costumes, starting with an orange-fuchsia crystal bodysuit with structured underwires from Atelier Versace, which she wore to open the 3.5-hour show. When it came time to sing “The Man,” she put on a fitted double-breasted jacket with monogrammed silver Medusa buttons. For Fearless In this section, Swift showed off her younger self in a silver and gold fringe minidress and black Christian Louboutin shoes with crystals – another never-before-seen look. Later in the show, the star wore a novel blue and black halterneck bodysuit from Zuhair Murad Couture and matching blue Louboutin knee-high socks to perform songs from Midnight era.
