The Nexon petrol is now available in the up-to-date Clever(O) variant at a price of Rs 7.99 lakh. Whereas, the diesel engine can now be purchased from the Clever+ variant at a price of Rs 9.99 lakh. The Nexon diesel engine was previously available from the mid-spec Pure variant. Bookings for these up-to-date variants have already started, interested customers can book online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are scheduled to start soon.
The up-to-date Clever (O) petrol variant is Rs 15,000 cheaper than the previous Clever base variant and with the launch of the latest variants, the base price of the Nexon diesel has come down by Rs 1.10 lakh. The prices of the Clever + and Clever + S variants have also been reduced by Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. The Nexon’s dad The Clever+ is now priced at Rs 8.90 lakh, while the Clever+S is priced at Rs 9.40 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
In terms of features, the up-to-date diesel variant comes with features like 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, reversing camera, shark fin antenna, multi-function steering wheel , electric windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The Diesel Clever+ S also comes with automatic headlights, a power sunroof with voice assist, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails and a knit headliner.

As for the features of the base petrol variant, the company is yet to provide information about these features on the website but it is expected to come with six airbags, ESP, LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps, ISOFIX, dual-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, electric front windows, rear parking sensors, central locking, steering wheel tilt adjustment, Eco, City and Sport driving modes.
The Nexon is offered with two engines – a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine is available with 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the diesel comes with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT automatic transmission.
