In just a few years, Tanner Adell has carved out her own path in country music. Yes, once Adell finds effective makeup, skin and hair care products, it becomes her “forever thing.” And of course, as a TikTok sensation in her own right, the country singer stays up to date with all the best products that have gone viral on the app.
Ahead, Adell details her beauty regimen to TZR, from her post-show skincare regimen to her wellness practices on show day.
About her morning skincare routine
“If I’m not wearing makeup or working, I like to just wash my face with water, exploit an astringent like witch hazel, and then apply a moisturizer. I like to exploit Drunk Elephant Protini polypeptide cream.
“On days when I wear makeup for work, I wash my face with this Youth To The People Superfood Cleaner in the shower. When I get out of the shower, I will exploit a toner that is more moisturizing than astringent. I love Belif Aqua Bomb tonic because I have really desiccated skin. I have a few different essences that I have liked in the past but now exploit The beauty of Joseon, the K-beauty brand that is growing on TikTok. Then I’ll exploit a type serum B-Hydra intensive moisturizing serum by Drunk Elephant. And then I will exploit it Dewy skin cream by Tatcha for my moisturizer. I’ll exploit it too Bobbi Brown moisturizing and face base enriched with vitamins before starting makeup. Since I have desiccated skin, all of these products are super moisturizing. I haven’t yet found an SPF that doesn’t make my makeup look patchy, so if I don’t watch it, I’ll exploit it. Hawaiian Tropic Weightless Moisturizing Facial Moisturizer. This is my favorite product. It smells amazing.”
About her evening skin care routine
“I’ll mask up maybe once a week or twice if I’m feeling really congested. I really love it Youth To The People Yerba Mate Resurfacing + Exfoliating energetic facial treatment. So I’ll cleanse, do a mask and exploit the same serum and moisturizer as I do in the morning because I like to keep it as lightweight as possible in the evening. I’ll also do a night mask, I really like it Drunk Elephant F-Balm with electrolyte for the face. I’m very afraid to try modern things, so I prefer to stick to the same products forever.
“On days when I have a performance, I take a break from my voice before the performance. A friend gave me K-beauty products, as well as a lip mask and gold eye serum patches. So I used them before shows because I often drove for 10 hours the day before and it’s a nice boost of energy – I also don’t feel like talking. After a performance, I like to remove my makeup as quickly as possible. So I’ll exploit my favorite Youth To The People facial cleanser. Sometimes I double cleanse. If so, I will exploit it CeraVe Moisturizing face wash gel first, and then Youth To The People if I feel like my makeup is just sticking together. Then I will exploit any K-beauty face mask, eye patch and lip mask.”
Her stage makeup essentials
“I do my own makeup. I haven’t quite found a makeup artist that I really, really connect with. I’m in Nashville so I have to find someone here, it’s just been tough. If I’m doing a performance or event where I’ll be moving around a lot or may be out in the sun and sweating, then I exploit it Milk Makeup Hydro Grip makeup base. It is oily and sticky, but does not desiccated out the face. Then I’ll go in with Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière foundation. It covers completely, but is still glowing, silky and moisturizing. I recently discovered it Moisturizing concealer in elf camouflage color and it’s amazing – I have it in five or six shades. Then I’ll go in with Hoola Bronzer by Benefit Cosmetics. And then I blush. Depending on the situation, sometimes I apply it with a brush and sometimes with my fingers. If it’s a more natural look during the day, I’ll exploit it Fenty Beauty Strawberry Drop creamy blush. If I want a really pigmented look I will exploit Glossy cloud paint. Then I powder it Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch setting powder. I exploit either the shading butter, which has a more yellow undertone, or the lavender butter, which is the sheerest and super brightening. I always apply the highlighter after the powder and exploit that Sporadic Beauty Positive Delicate Silky Touch highlighter. It’s not a cream, but it’s not a powder either and it’s amazing.
“I really love my natural brow shape, but I’ll go with Glossier’s Glossier Boy Brow or NYX Brow Glue — something with one of those little firm brushes that really lifts them up. And I had a really tough time finding that shade of purple. For my eyes, I wear the lightest pastel purple shade, which I absolutely love, and to my fans, it’s my signature color. An eyeshadow I’ve been using for years has turned out to be cruelty-free, and that’s a substantial deal for me – I’m literally a “brace bunny.” So I had to do some digging and elf’s No Budge cream eye shadow The flower pot in Wildflower is a substitute that is the perfect base. And it doesn’t move. If I want a glow, I exploit Morphe’s Ultralavender palette [ed. note: discontinued]. I exploit it for liner NYX Epic Ink waterproof liquid eyeliner. It’s been fine for me for a few months now and in four months I’ve only had to repurchase it once, which I think is impressive for a liquid liner. I make eyelashes – usually in the shape of a cat eye – which I buy on Amazon. If I don’t wear eyelashes, I exploit them Glossier’s Lash Slick for mascara. I exploit a fixing spray Urban Decay all night game – nothing even comes close.
“I’ve always liked my natural lip color, so I’ll do a really natural lip gloss with a bit of shine. The Covergirl Pristine FreshYummy gloss now he’s going crazy. Lips are my weakness and after seeing my makeup at the CMT Awards, watching YouTube videos of my favorite makeup artists and reviewing them, Sir Johnon Instagram, I realized that lips were what was missing in my red carpet look. I’m not a fan of bold lips, so I exploit muted brows and peaches – as neutral as I can. I like Maybelline SuperStay Ink lipstick“
About her hair routine
“I try not to wash my hair for two weeks. I have curly hair and it doesn’t get greasy, so it works for me. Since summer is coming, I’ve been at the pool a lot more, so I probably wash it a little more often, but I try to keep it as natural as possible. I rinse with apple cider vinegar and currently exploit Donna’s Recipe products. His Tabitha Brownbrand and literally smells like baking sweet potato cake in the shower. It’s amazing. I exploit shampoo, conditionerand leave-in conditioner, too. I’m blonde, so I have to do all the care because it can be harmful. But in the summer my hair naturally turns blonde, so now I don’t have to worry too much about it. Before I take a shower, I exploit it strengthening oil from Donna’s Recipe that makes your blood rush to your head and it’s unbelievable. When my hair is desiccated, I prefer to stick to oils only. If I exploit a leave-in conditioner, it’s either Donna’s Recipe or Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Milky leave-in conditioner. My hair must smell like coconut all the time.
“I have Gisou hair perfume, which I love. I also exploit Gisou hair oil practically every day. When it comes to skin and hair care, I go beyond that and look for more luxurious brands, and Gisou is that girl for me this year. Hair oil is something I have never experienced. When I’m not wearing my natural hair, I braid it under a wig. I have a long blonde wig and I will exploit Gisou on that too.
About her wellness routine
“I’m sorry, but I’m a Stanley Cup girl. I know people laugh at it, but it actually stays chilly and I like to stay hydrated. That’s why I start my day by filling a cup and taking vitamins. I love being in the sun. So I’ll take my two dogs and go out and sit on the balcony in my Bentwood rocking chair and catch up on emails.
“When I’m on tour, I take the morning before a show seriously. I get up at 8:00, do beauty treatments, eat watermelon and pineapple. For me, it moisturizes and is simply a good, cleansing breakfast. I usually don’t eat much on show days because I’m in focus mode. I like to find time in the morning to explore the city I’m in.”
