At a crucial juncture for MI, Suryakumar stepped up when his team was in a tense situation at 31/3, chasing a target of 174 runs. Showing extraordinary composure and skill, he launched a powerful counter-attack, launching a stunning run of 102* runs in just 51 balls. His innings featured an aggressive approach of 12 fours and six sixes at a remarkable strike rate of 200.00.
Both Rohit and Suryakumar have two IPL centuries each for MI. Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Lendl Simmons and Cameron Green each scored a century for MI.
