Last week, Anasuya shared a series of photos summarizing her experiences at the 77th edition of the prestigious film festival. Part of her caption read: “Outfit – bought quickly before the awards at the Cannes flea market because that’s what I do.” She also mentioned her choice of clothes from fashion designer Arjun Saluji’s brand Rishta. Coming back to the photos, in the first photo, the star is seen wearing a white outfit and chunky gold jewelry. She then poses with her co-star Omara and director Konstantin Bojanov. Anasuya received a trophy in the Un Sure Regard segment for her role as Renuka in Shameless. The film was written and directed by Bulgarian director Konstantin Bojanov. Talking about her winning moment, Anasuya told Hindustan Times, “I couldn’t believe it was actually happening! But when I tentatively walked onto the stage and stood with the artists I admired, my heroes, it felt strangely natural to be welcomed with so much enthusiasm. authenticity and love on their part, I am very grateful to the jury for appreciating my demanding work.
Shameless was shown on May 17 at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The film tells the story of Renuka (played by Anasuya Sengupta), who manages to escape from a brothel in Delhi after killing a policeman. Apart from Anasuya, the film stars Omara, Auroshikha Dey and Rohit Kokate in pivotal roles.
