NEW DELHI: Space X launched on Wednesday 23 Internet satellites into space from the Space Center Kennedy, commemorating his 47th orbital mission.
The Sokół 9the first stage returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes later, landing on the drone ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to SpaceX mission description, this was the third takeoff and landing of this particular first stage. Previously, the booster had flown one Starlink mission and a crew 8 astronaut was launched.
Meanwhile, the Falcon 9 upper stage will continue to deliver Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit, where they will be deployed approximately 65 minutes after launch.
This comes after Falcon 9 launched 23 satellites into low Earth orbit on Monday. According to Space.com, its first stage returned to Earth about eight minutes later, landing on the “Just Read the Instructions” drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to SpaceX’s mission description, this was the fifteenth launch and landing of this particular first stage.
SpaceX has now completed 47 orbital missions in 2024, 32 of which will be dedicated to the development of the Starlink broadband mega-constellation.
