Nominations for the main categories at this year’s awards, to be held in Berlin on January 17th, were announced this morning by the European Film Academy.

Recent rule changes mean that shortlisted films in the Best Documentary and Animation categories will also be able to compete in this category, with 15 features competing for the Best European Film award.

This docudrama, based on real events, depicts the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s response to the call of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl trapped in a car in Gaza City under Israeli shelling.
