Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) will speak at a hearing at Capitol Hill, Washington, on January 29, 2025 with candidates for Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Madalina Vasiliu/The Epoch Times

Bedford, Va. — Democrats will withhold the vote in the law to fund the government unless Republicans and the Trump administration commit to reverse cuts in education, healthcare and research spending, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA.) told the Epoch Times on Aug. 28.

Warner made comments during tours around the state, including Bedford, Lynchburg and Appomattox. Here we discussed federal funding and reducing impact on Virginians.

He said Republicans must not only recover their funds, but also ensure that they will not withhold funds previously approved by Congress, as the administration is doing now.
