Spanish second-hand fashion retailer Micolet has expanded its presence in Portugal after acquiring Portugal’s Mycloma, the company confirmed in a joint announcement.
The deal will strengthen Micolet’s customer base, infrastructure and digital reach in the growing Iberian circular fashion market.
Micollet and Microma
Micolet, who specializes in selling second-hand clothing online, said MyCloma integration is part of a growth strategy aimed at optimizing its distribution network and expanding its reach across Portugal, an already operated market (as reported, FashionUnited).
The merger adds MyCloma’s customer base and commercial structure, with the aim of integrating “a more competitive platform in a context that is increasingly marked by the need for business concentration and operational efficiency.”
Mycloma describes the contract as “natural evolution” in its mission to expand the lifecycle of clothing and encourage more responsible consumption.
The company confirmed it has moved directly to its customers, both through social media and through personalized messages to those who have items currently on sale.
The integration process involves gradually redirecting MyCloma website to Micolet’s Portuguese domain. This helps to centralize operations under a single platform and drive user migration.
According to the announcement, the deal will strengthen Micolet’s physical infrastructure, enhance digital capabilities, and enable retailers to compete better in an increasingly integrated reconfigurable market.
