Secretary of State Marco Rubio left for Israel on September 13, winning the return of hostages that Hamas had taken and announced new efforts to address humanitarian concerns after nearly two years of fighting in the Gaza Strip.
“We’re on our way to Jerusalem, and we’ll focus on finding ways to ensure hostages return, ensuring humanitarian aid reaches civilians, and dealing with the threat poses of Hamas,” Rubio said in a post on X on Saturday afternoon.
