Hollywood actress Blake Lively, who is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s book “It Ends With Us,” says fans of the source material will not be disappointed with the upcoming film. In “It Ends With Us,” Lively stars alongside Justin Baldoni, who also directed the film.
According to a report by PTI, Blake Lively stated, “Some people will always like the book more than the movie and some people will always like the movie more than the book, but I think we just did our best to honor the book and honor the fans and, I think, to really create something that even works on its own.”
“If you don’t know the book, the movie is effective. I don’t think there’s a possibility that if you read the book and watch the movie you won’t be impressed. We worked really strenuous on this.” Also believe that if you saw the movie and then read the book, you wouldn’t say, “Wait, it’s not like that (the latter). You can do both. I think they’re both really attractive,” she added.
The film tells the story of Lily Bloom (Lively), who thinks she has found the love of her life in Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni). “But after a disturbing incident of abuse reminds her of her shadowy past, she must decide whether love alone can survive her marriage. “The matter is further complicated by the return of her first love into her life: a man she loved for many years before he was homeless,” according to the official synopsis. “It Ends With Us” is scheduled to premiere on August 9 and also features Brandon Sklenar, Alex Neustaedter, Isabela Ferrer and Jenny Slate.
