In 2024, the Baltimore Ravens finished 12-5. It was the best record in AFC North, with the Ravens being the third-place seed in the AFC playoffs.
Baltimore beat Pittsburgh 28-14 in the wild card round. In the divisional round, the Ravens matched with #2 seed Buffalo Bill. It was a fierce battle for the Ravens, but they lost 27-25 to Buffalo. Five months after that loss, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson spoke to the media for the first time. Jackson said he has not yet overcome that loss to the bill, and the Ravens “revenge in our hearts.”
Will Lamar Jackson finally lead Raven to the Super Bowl?

On the 32nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Ravens selected QB Lamar Jackson from Louisville. Despite winning the Heisman Trophy in college, Jackson slid to the end of the first round. This leaves a chip on his shoulder throughout his career despite the all-pro selection of two league MVPs and three first-teams. Since joining the NFL in 2018, Jackson has a record of 70-24. The second best record for QB in that range.
Jackson has been getting electricity for the Ravens in the regular season, but he’s running short in the playoffs. It’s definitely Jackson’s biggest knock of his career. However, Lamar Jackson only played one conference championship in five postseason appearances. Plus, he is the only QB with multiple league MVPs who don’t reach the Super Bowl. Jackson’s career is not over. There’s plenty of time for him to achieve it.
Ravens QB coach Teemartin described the playoff loss to Buffalo as a “deep loss” for Lamar Jackson. As QB and the leader of the team, criticism rests on him. The Ravens had the opportunity to tie the game together in a two-point conversion, but TE Mark Andrews dropped a pass. Lamar Jackson says the team has learned from the losses and says they will be better in the future. How far can Lamar Jackson take the 2025 Ravens roster?
