Prices of Mahindra Thar, Scorpio and Bolero Neo have increased: here’s by how much

Mahindra and Mahindra have increased the prices of Mahindra Thar, Scorpio AND Bolero Neo SUVs in India. Skorpion-N i Thar are steep by Rs 25,000 and Rs 14,000 respectively. Bolero Neo it is also more steep by up to Rs 10,000.

Talking about the price hike of the Thar, only the base variants of the Thar have been hiked by Rs 10,000. The prices of the remaining variants remain the same. The starting price of the base AX (O) Diesel MT RWD variant is Rs 1,50,000. 11.35 lakh, down from Rs. 11.25 thousand The LX MT RWD diesel is now priced at Rs 12.85 and the LX AT RWD petrol is priced at Rs 14.1 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The Thar RWD is powered by a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine producing 117 HP and 300 Nm of torque, mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 152 HP and 320 Nm of torque. There is a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with torque converter.
Now we are talking about a price escalate for Scorpio-N. The SUV is available in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8S and Z8L variants. The petrol and diesel variants of the Z2 and Z4, as well as the Z6 diesel, have seen a uniform price hike of Rs. 25,000. The prices of the Z8 4X2 variants, both petrol and diesel, have been increased by Rs 500. 10,000. With the hike, the price of Scorpio-N now ranges from Rs 13.85 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Scorpio-N is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 203 PS of power and 370 Nm and 380 Nm of torque in manual and automatic variants, respectively. The next engine is a 2.2-liter turbodiesel available in two versions – 175 HP and 370 Nm (manual)/400 Nm (automatic) and 132 HP and 300 Nm. Both engines are available in combination with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The diesel version is additionally offered with 4×4 drive and many off-road models. The Bharat drive uses a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with a 4×4 drive.

The Bolero Neo is offered in N4, N8, N10 and N10 (O) variants. The prices of the latter two remain the same, with the previous two variants getting a hike of Rs 5,000 and Rs 14,000 respectively. The prices of this SUV currently start from Rs 9.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that generates 100 HP and 260 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual only.
