Lawyers for Brian Cole Jr., who allegedly planted a pipe bomb before the Jan. 6, 2021 incident, are asking the court to allow their client to avoid detention before his scheduled trial.
In a Dec. 30 filing, they said a variety of factors weighed in favor of Cole’s release. These included having no criminal record and being diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder.
