Dan Cohen, chief content licensing officer at Paramount and president of Republic Pictures Label, is leaving the studio as he prepares to complete the merger with SkyDance.
Paramount did not comment on whether Cohen would replace these roles, but in an internal note to staff, Cohen said, “We are working with senior leaders to ensure a smooth transition.
Cohen, who joined Paramount in 2017 as president of Worldwide TV License, was well known for his international television distribution business to license Paramount films and series to outlets around the world.
He rebooted the Republic, which was founded two years ago in 1935, as an acquisition label that distributes films through Paramount’s home entertainment, streaming and television platforms.
