Palestinian co-director of Oscar winner ’No Other Land’ attacked by settlers, arrested

Hamdan Ballal, co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary, Palestinian There are no other landsHe was reportedly attacked and arrested by settlers in his village on the West Bank.

The incident was reported by X’s co-director and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham. He writes: There are no other lands. They beat him, he gets injured in his head and stomach and bleeding. The soldiers broke into the ambulance he called and took him there. There have been no signs of him since. ”

Abraham then posted that a “lynching mob” attacked the village of Baral, continuing to attack American activists, and “breaking cars with stones.” He repeated that Balal’s whereabouts remained unknown.

The report said after the attack, Baral was detained by Israeli forces along with another, unidentified person. An activist witness said blood was found on the floor when he entered Baral’s house.

A statement issued by the Israeli Defence Force said, “The IDF and Israeli police have arrived to dissolve the conflict. At this point, some terrorists have begun to throw rocks at security forces.

The International Documentary Fund was posted on its website. “We require the immediate release of Baral and his family and community to be informed of his condition, location and the legitimacy of his detention.”

The film has made more than $1.7 million and has earned the North American box office after Cinetic Media took Paul Tuckman to the cinemas through Mtuckman Media, but hasn’t stepped up to release it. It has earned over $700,000 internationally through distributors licensed by Autolook.

Last week, the mayor of Miami Beach, Florida overturned his suggestion to kick out an arthouse film after booking a screening There are no other lands.
