The election in Miami, Florida isn’t over yet. Magic City voters still need to choose their next mayor, and their choice could indicate how the city’s political leanings have evolved heading into the 2026 midterm elections.
Thirteen mayoral candidates appeared on the Nov. 4 ballot, but none received the majority needed to win. As a result, a runoff election between the two candidates with the most votes that night was scheduled for December 9th.
