Mercedes-Benz S 63 E Performance launched in India at Rs 3.3 crore: most powerful S-Class ever

Mercedes-Benz India announced the launch today Mercedes-Benz S 63 E performance in the Indian market and prices start from Rs 3.3 crores. The luxury sports sedan is now the flagship of the S-class range and is the most powerful S-Class ever. This is also the second one plug-in hybrid Mercedes in India after the performance of the GT63 SE.
In terms of design, the fresh S 63 E Performance is characterized by the AMG design language. At the front there is a Panamericana grille with sporty bumpers with enormous air intakes on both sides. At the rear, it received a redesigned bumper AMG special rear diffuser with four exhaust pipes.

Customers can also opt for the Night Exterior Package, which includes obscure chrome or gloss black accents. A Carbon Fiber package is also available, which includes carbon fiber trim on the front bumper, side mirrors, side sills and rear diffuser. The luxury sports sedan comes standard with 20-inch multi-spoke S alloy wheels, and customers can also choose optional 21-inch wheels. optional.
As for the interior, the overall layout is similar to the S-Class, but the S 63 has AMG-specific elements that give the interior a sporty look. The sedan has an all-black interior with a fresh AMG four-spoke steering wheel and AMG-specification pedals. It features a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with fresh MBUX software, which includes displays and features from AMG and hybrid models. Other features include a digital instrument cluster, 4-zone climate control, Burmester 3D surround sound system, 64-color ambient lighting, ADAS Level 2, and more.

Mercedes-AMG also offers Executive Lounge seats, a rear-seat entertainment package, an augmented reality head-up display with 3D graphics, a removable tablet, foldable tables and various Nappa leather interior upholstery options.
The S 63 E Performance is powered by 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine in combination with an electric motor. The electric motor produces 190 HP and 320 Nm, and the total output power of the system is approx. 802 HP power and enormous torque of 1,430 Nm. The electric engine is powered by a 13.1 kWh battery and provides an electric range of 33 km.

The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels via the 4-Matic system. Mercedes claims the sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. There are also eight driving modes and a steerable rear axle with a maximum steering angle of 3 degrees.
