Reservations i release date
Bookings for the next-generation Swift are already underway. Interested customers can book the novel Swift online or by visiting their nearest dealership. The reservation amount is pegged at Rs 11,000 and deliveries are expected to start in June 2024. The hatch will be launched in the Indian market on May 9, 2024.
Design changes
The novel Swift features a redesigned front bumper and a novel grille with massive black surrounds, along with redesigned smoked LED headlamps with daytime running lights. Below is a revised fog lamp housing with a distributor.
The opening hood is much shallower, and on the sides the rear door handles have returned to their conventional position, rather than on the C-pillar. The rear receives a redesigned tailgate and a novel bumper with a skid plate below. Other highlights include an integrated rear spoiler with brake airy, LED taillights with C-shaped daytime running lights and reflectors below. Other attractions include darkened ORVMs, roofs and pillars. It also features distinct character lines running through the door panels.
Interior and features
Moving inside, the novel Swift’s interior draws inspiration from the Baleno and Fronx. It will get a novel dashboard layout with a floating infotainment system with sleek air conditioning vents and HVAC controls below. Other expected features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, connected car technology, steering wheel controls, automatic climate control and other convenience features.

Engine and gearbox
The novel Swift is expected to be powered by an all-new 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, replacing the existing four-cylinder K12 engine. Detailed specifications have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to produce over 85 HP and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual or AMT.
