L&T Technology Services, a global player in engineering and R&D services, has signed a contract worth EUR 45 million with FORVIA, a French global automotive supplier based in Nanterre in the western suburbs of Paris, to offer engineering development activities for its Pristine division Mobility of the latter.
As part of the five-year partnership, approximately 300 engineers from FORVIA’s facilities in Augsburg (Germany) and Bangalore (India) were transferred to LTTS. This means that the transfer was 95% successful, securing the skills of those teams that will develop engineering activities related to combustion engines under LTTS, the company said in a statement.
“Our partnership with FORVIA underscores our expertise in the transportation and automotive industries, while strengthening our commitment to leading the way in time-honored engine technologies and new-age digital transformation for ultra-low emissions and immaculate mobility,” said Amit Chadha, CEO and Director managing L&T Technology Services.
FORVIA, the seventh largest global automotive technology supplier with 260 industrial plants and 78 research and development centers, employs over 1,50,000 people, including 15,000 research and development engineers in over 40 countries, LTTS said in a statement.
