Legendary Lancia Delta S4 Gr. B Engine sounds | 4-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine with a rotation speed of over 8,000 rpm | *YOU MUST LISTEN*
The Delta S4, sometimes referred to by the Abarth project code SE038, was a great competition machine. Martini Racing Lancia entered the car at the very end of the Group B regulations, and the car immediately won the final round of the 1985 World Rally Championship.
Victory in the 1986 WRC championship could have gone for Lancia after four wins, but the results of the Sanremo round (which Lancia won with a score of 1-2-3) were annulled that year. There is a lot to this story, but Italian officials disqualified the Peugeot runners for “illegal aero skirts”, which later turned out to be completely legal, but the Italians won the Lancia. A complete withdrawal from this rally ensured the final victory in the Group B championship for Peugeot’s Juha Kankkunen.
But don’t worry about any of that right now. It’s time to view this YouTube video in full screen, turn up the volume on your noise-cancelling headphones, and watch a bunch of hooligans driving around in historic, hooligan Italian cars. Leave for a few minutes. You are worth it.
