After the millionaires were irritated when they found out that they were no longer able to get behind the wheel of their Porsche Carrera GTs earlier this year, now it’s the billionaires’ turn to stay put for a while, as Koenigsegg has decided to stop order in the Jesko hypercar after the fire in Greece.
AND Koenigsegg Jesko According to reports, the “Nür Edition” attack burst into flames over the weekend in what is now the country of Greece survive the heat wave you can see the temperature has reached 109 degrees. The car was destroyed, leaving only a burnt chassis and one very dissatisfied (but undamaged) owner.
Fire clearly alarmed the Swedish car manufacturer behind the mega hypercar that has now issued a stop-and-go order affecting every Jesko delivered so far, Autoblog reports. Fortunately, the order won’t kick out too many drivers:
Although the Jesko’s ownership group is crushingly diminutive, the automaker has issued a cease-and-desist order for all 28 units delivered. “Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking all Jesko owners and drivers to refrain from driving their cars until we have a chance to better understand the situation,” the automaker said.
Koenigsegg is not aware of the cause of the fires, but the occupants of the car shown in the video managed to escape to safety. The Jesko’s purchase price outstrips even the most exclusive hypercars by $1 million or more, so losing one of these is tough to swallow, even if you can’t afford it.
Before the fire, the burned-out Jesko took part in a luxury rally around Greece, reports Drive. The relatively low speeds of such country road trips combined with Jesko Jesko 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and temperatures above 100 degrees are a recipe for thermal disaster. So far, no other Jesko owners have reported instinctive combustion in their car.
