It’s only been a few months since Justin Fields left the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it appears to be totally outrageous about his first week of play against the former team.
Justin Fields is not bothered by the Steelers
Last year was tough for Justin Fields despite high expectations from the quarterback when he signed for the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the season.
Fields began the season as QB1, but he was dropped by the team despite holding a 4-2 record to start the campaign just six weeks later.
With Russell Wilson waiting on the wing, Pittsburgh was able to get another high-caliber signalling caller a chance, and for the rest of the season he stuck with the 26-year-old quarterback.
Fields is still used sparingly by the Steelers, and the quarterback’s double threat abilities offer some good opportunities in the fourth and shorter days when Pittsburgh had no choice but to run the ball.
The Steelers said Fields bid farewell to Pittsburgh after being eliminated from playoff competition in the wildcard round after a terrible loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The New York Jets breathed seated on the field during the offseason, with the quarterback agreeing to a two-year deal worth $40 million.
Now, with a poetic start to the 2025 season, Field will face off against his previous team in week one. When asked about his thoughts on upcoming matchups, the field seemed completely undependent.
“Hmm…that’s who we play Week 1. We didn’t really think about it,” Fields said before following up before the reporter asked if there were any emotions related to the game. “No,” Fields replied frankly.
Justin Fields doesn’t have time for your juicy storyline #nfl Schedule maker lol

The Steelers have yet to sign quarterback to replace Fields and Wilson (Wilson left for the Giants he plans to start), but Aaron Rodgers has been linked to the move all summer, with the veteran expected to put the pen on paper soon.
