A federal judge in California on Wednesday rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to cancel more than $4 billion in federal funding for the state’s high-speed rail project between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
U.S. District Judge Dale Drozd in Sacramento rejected the Justice Department’s argument that the California High Speed Rail Authority’s July lawsuit was filed in an improper venue and should have been filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims instead.
