On August 16, the judge issued a ruling extending restraint orders against former Robert Francis O’Rourke (D-Texas) and his political organisations on fundraising efforts for Democrats who left Texas amid the state House fight over a former dictionary.
In the order, Judge Megan Fahey wrote that O’Rourke, the presidential candidate in the 2020 election, cannot send money from Texas. She supported Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Paxton was after he tried to remove the Charter of Powered, an organization led by O’Rourke.
