A federal judge on November 21 temporarily blocked the Trump administration from conditioning or withholding federal disaster relief funds allocated to local governments.
U.S. District Judge William Orrick of the Northern District of California issued a preliminary injunction in response to a lawsuit brought by a coalition of 29 local governments that claims conditions related to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FEMA funds are unconstitutional.
