Judge Blocks DHS Bid to End Protected Status for Immigrants From Honduras, Nicaragua, Nepal

A federal judge on July 31 blocked the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from ending a temporary protection status (TPS) for hundreds of thousands of migrants from Nepal, Honduras and Nicaragua.

In a 37-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Trina Thompson in San Francisco ordered that protections for immigrants from these countries remain until the next hearing on November 18th.
