UFC heavyweight champion John Jones will demand a big payout to fight Tom Aspinel in the Octagon, as he believes he needs him for his career.
Tom Aspinel needs John Jones
Everyone around the UFC wants to see John Jones fight Tom Aspinoll…John Jones.
Jones has shunned a fight with upcoming heavyweight superstar Aspinor since he returned to the octagon, and the potential title fight between the pair is the only thing that has been discussed since Jones knocked out Stipe Miocic in UFC 309.
“He’s causing trouble for me,” Jones said. “He’s causing trouble to me. It’s my own personal. He’s causing trouble to me. I think you guys are funny, but I think he’s annoyed.
John Jones declares he doesn’t want to fight Tom Aspinel, then he wants to fight Alex Pereira.

“I want to say that, but I want it to be “f*ck you” money, honestly. That’s exactly what it is. Or, my life is perfect without him. I don’t need him at all and he needs me.
Jones never put the exact numbers on what he wants to get from the Aspinel title fight, but he said that’s what it is. “Very, very high numbers.”
During the build up until UFC 309, Jones was constantly being asked about a potential fight with Aspinall, but he always closed the talk about British heavyweights and focused on his clash with Miocic.
Jones’ return to the Octagon last weekend won by an emphasised technical knockout, continuing his unbeaten streak dating back to early 2010.
John Jones currently has an unbeaten streak of 20 games.
