To finish week four of the 2025 season, the Jets were on their path to facing dolphins. By the end of the third quarter, it was 24-10 and it looked like Miami would win easily.
But New York may have made a small fourth quarter comeback, but it wasn’t enough to stop the dolphins. They lost 27-21 and are 0-4 to start the 2025 season. During that loss to Miami, backup RB Blairon Allen suffered from what Ahlong Ren called “a rather serious knee injury.” On Thursday morning, NFL Insiders announced they were placing Allen in the sanctuary where the Jets were injured. However, 21-year-olds may miss more than four weeks.

In the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Jets selected RB Braelon Allen from Wisconsin. As a rookie, Allen played in all 17 New York games and started twice. He carried the ball 92 times with 334 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Allen added 19 catches to 198 receiving yards and one touchdown. Additionally, he played as a rookie for 27% of the team’s offensive snaps.
In the fourth week of MNF, Blairon Allen carried the ball four times for 26 yards, but had a key fumble at the goal line. Jett scored a touchdown on the first drive of the game. During his return for the second quarter kickoff, Brean Allen suffered a knee injury and did not return to the game. On Wednesday, Allen was seen in the Jets’ locker room on crutches. NFL Insider reported on Thursday that Brean Allen was heading for the IR.

Head coach Aaron Glenn described Allen’s knee injury as “pretty serious.” Young RBs are set to miss at least four weeks. However, ESPN’s rich man Cimini reported that Braelon Allen could miss out on more time. It’s too early to tell if an injury is over. Without Allen, the Jets will turn to Bracehole and Isaiah Davis.
Hall is in its fourth season with New York. Throughout four games, he has carried the ball 52 times for 238 rushing yards. He also has 13 catches on the Jets’ 108 receiving yards. Hall played 60% of the team’s offensive snaps to start the season. Hall’s snap rate can increase as Braelon Allen is set to miss time. Backup Isaiah Davis will see more play time while Allen is out. Davis was drafted by New York in the fifth round of South Dakota’s 2024 draft. Brace Hall and Isaiah Davis will be the Jets backfield duo, while Brean Allen will be in IR.
